EFO-ICE
is a development of the EFO system designed for the illumination of
frozen and refrigerated products. It uses the same innovative and
efficient projector and solid core cable, together with special linear
fixtures.
EFO-ICE is more efficient than conventional fluorescent systems, and
can reduce operating costs by reducing electrical consumption for
refrigeration and lighting, and by simplifying maintenance.

Fluorescent lamps add heat to a case and increase the compressor load
but EFO-ICE lights products without adding any heat to the case. Applying
the benefits of optical fibre, EFO-ICE removes all of the heat before
routing the light into the case. This reduces compressor load and
saves additional electricity. EFO-ICE also directs light onto products
more efficiently than fluorescent lamps do. |

Fluorescent
fixtures lose up to half of their intensity when chilled but EFO-ICE
glows at full brightness even in the most frigid temperatures, further
increasing its benefit over fluorescent.
EFO-ICE also greatly eases maintenance. One EFO -ICE lamp replaces
three to five fluorescent lamps. Lamp changes are completed on top
of the case, an operation needing no tools.
EFO-ICE fixtures have no electricity, eliminating lamp socket destruction
during case cleaning. The fixtures contain no glass so there is never
a possibility of shattering a lamp inside the case. Best of all, EFO-ICE
