Liverpool One is huge regeneration project in Liverpool City Centre. Encompassing retail areas, public spaces a multiplex cinema, cafes & Bars and new apartments the area covers 42 acres with BDP masterminding the lighting for the whole project.
The Galleria is the central feature which connects the retail street to the cinema and restaurants.
Crescent developed special fibre optic downlights to provide pools of light, without giving very bright glare sources, resulting an a restrained subtle effect on the floor of the area.
Working closely with BDP several different designs of downights were produced and several sizes of FSPTe fibre used to give varying beam widths and intensities.
32 CRE4625 (produced with a special finish, mounted on the roof) and 2 standard CRE6255 projectors were used to power the 122 downlights used.

Thanks to BDP Manchester for their help with the specification of the project & the images.
