Reputed to be the oldest boat in the world originating in 1500BC, fibre optic lighting was an obvious choice for illumination, as the boat had to be kept in a sealed case where atmosphere was controlled for temperature and humidity. Fibre optic projectors were located below the floor, and the cables run up through to special vertical fixture mounting posts that house adjustable luminaires. 150W HQI projectors were used to give the necessary impact on the dark structure, a total of five being used. Thanks to: Dover Museum, Brennan and Whalley Architects The sketch below details the configuration. |
