CLO
The soft profile of the CLO system allows optical control of the LEDs, giving an asymmetric distribution. This produces a narrow 8 degree transverse beam as shown above. The beam width in the other direction is wide and this combination makes for very effective wall washing and grazing of surfaces with light. There is a feedback circuit in the fitting which tells the driver if the CLO is too hot. The driver will then reduce current to the CLO until it returns to its correct operating temperature.
