The new state of the art Bioscience building has recently opened to the public, in Nottingham. Wolfgang Buttress has collaborated with Nottingham Trent University physicist Dr Martin Bencsik to create an extraordinary light installation.
The installation incorporates the use of our CRE070 RGB Sparkle Projectors, as well as numerous strands of side brightpak fibre optic cable and is controlled via DMX. The colour change is influenced by solar activity. The building is linked to NASA satellites, where a constant feed of data is received, the data collected is interpreted and programmed, updating the colour change cycle every half an hour or so.
